Roots & Wings
Discover a thoughtfully produced, feel-good range of food and beauty products by Roots & Wings Organic.
Organic is their passion (the clue is in the name!), with each and every product made using natural, good-for-the-planet ingredients. These are handcrafted and blended into incredible products at a fair price, from organic lemon curd to grapefruit and mint shower gel.
The range comes to life thanks to the farmers, growers, chefs and craftspeople that have become part of the Roots & Wings Organic family over the years. They’re equally enthusiastic about organic practices and protecting the environment, as well as creating high quality, delicious and luxurious products.
Roots & Wings Organic not only does good by championing organic farming, which has benefits like encouraging greater biodiversity and improved animal welfare. (The brand is endorsed by the NatureWatch Foundation for their commitment to animal welfare, FYI).
They also donate 10% of profits to charities devoted to the needs of children. So every Roots & Wings Organic product you buy supports organisations like The Ickle Pickle Partnership, which helps provide specialist equipment for neonatal units.
Fill your kitchen cupboard with their sweet-tasting jams and your bathroom cabinet with their sweet-scented shampoos, conditioners, shower gels, hand wash and bath soaks.
Launching Roots & Wings Organic was far from Belinda Gooding’s first foray into the world of organic. While working at Dairy Crest, part of her role was helping farmers convert to organic. She also ran organic food company Duchy Originals for seven years.
So starting her own organic consumer goods company was a natural progression. But it was a personal quest to find more affordable, organic products for her family that gave her the idea for Roots & Wings Organic in particular.
A piece of wisdom on raising kids inspired Belinda when it came to the name and give-back ethos of Roots & Wings Organic – “What’s the best thing in life you can give your children: roots for confidence and stability to grow and wings for aspiration.”
