Karisimbi Spiced Rum

£35.00

Karisimbi Spiced Rum - born and raised in the Caribbean then on to Finishing School in Hampshire.

Beautifully blended aged and unaged rums from Barbados, Dominican Republic & Jamaica, spiced with blood orange, cinnamon, ginger and vanilla make Karisimbi a complex, vibrant and juicy spiced rum.

Four rums are blended to give Karisimbi it’s complexity: unaged and aged rums from Dominican republic, aged rum from Barbados and unaged pot still rum from Jamaica. Some of the aged rums are up to 5 years old. Gorilla Spirits' spice ingredients are all 100% natural. Each is carefully distilled in grain spirit before being added to the rum, working together in perfect harmony.

Everything Gorilla Spirits do is founded on the principles of social responsibility, sustainability and conservation. This bottle is made from 100% consumer recycled glass and, through Gorilla Spiritis donation to The Gorilla Organization, each bottle you buy helps protect and conserve the endangered Mountain Gorilla population.

Perfect serve: Named after the highest volcanic mountain in the Virunga National Park, Karisimbi will take any drink to new heights. Bottled at 42% abv, Karisimbi Spiced Rum will shine in a mixed drink but it’s also oh so smooth, and perfect sipped neat over ice. Prefer a longer drink? Try Karisimbi mixed with Ginger Ale or Cola.

Show your love for animals and the natural world in an unexpected way: by sipping on premium quality drinks from Gorilla Spirits.

From spiced rum, to coffee liqueurs, to a super smooth vodka, this do-gooding distiller crafts small-batch, award-winning spirits at their HQ in Hampshire.

As their name suggests, Gorilla Spirits supports the conservation of mountain gorillas. These gentle giants are an endangered species, at serious threat of extinction.

But small increases in their numbers look promising and that’s down to the hard work and dedication of governments and conservation organisations. The Gorilla Organisation is one of those, working with communities at the forefront of gorilla conservation in Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

By donating £1 from every bottle of their drinks, Gorilla Spirits is supporting the good work of The Gorilla Organisation, from the field workers in Africa to the fundraising and communications team in London. They nickname this donation a GAT – “Gorilla Added Tax.”

So every time you savour a glass of Gorilla Spirits, you’ll be making a difference to this iconic endangered species and the people fighting the threats they face.
