The decaffination process, when using chemicals often masks any positive flavours in the coffee, however the use of Carbon dioxide through charcoal filtering allows for a clarity to the flavour and structure that is rare for decaffeinated coffees. The heavy body and great balance of its chocolate and citrus flavours means it can be brewed perfectly as both an espresso and filter. The Primavera Family lot is named after the importers who support each farmer both financially and logistically, and despite frequently improving their quality, some coffees aren’t strong enough to be sold as single origin. This is where Primavera steps in to purchase the coffees for a high quality and traceable blend whilst still allowing the farmers opportunities to reinvest this money into improvements on their farms.
They recommend you endeavor to receive your coffee as beans, as it will aid your coffee in staying fresher for longer and will keep those flavours and aromas that make that coffee distinct and vibrant locked in. If this isn’t possible we can grind your beans to suit your preferred brew method. Your coffee will be accompanied by a detailed leaflet outlining tasting notes, historical backdrops, environmental landscapes and inspiring and innovative stories of the coffees journey from the farm to your brew at home.
Cafedirect are proud to be the UK’s first and largest Fairtrade hot drinks brand, improving lives all over the world. And with at least a third of their sales certified as Soil Association Organic, they do their bit for the planet as well.
Unlike any other coffee company, Cafedirect invest 50% of their profits into PRODUCERS DIRECT, a UK charity that works directly with farmers to improve sustainability and livelihoods, right across the coffee growing world. The charity is run by farmers, for farmers, taking leadership and developing innovative solutions to the challenges they face.
This reciprocal, direct relationship enables them to provide their consumers with great tasting, very high quality and continually improving drinks.
