Belu

Tonic and mixers ending water poverty and championing a circular economy.

Quench your thirst or top up your spirits with tonic and mixers by Belu, a drinks company that puts people and the environment first.

Sales of their bottled mineral water, soft drinks, mixers and refillable water bottles support WaterAid. Belu’s net profit – over £5 million to date – is poured into the charity’s projects bringing clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene to places that need them.

This ongoing collab (they’ve already been partners for over a decade) will be creating ripples of positive change for decades to come. It’s proof Belu is committed to the UN Global Goal of ensuring availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for the long run.

As well as tackling water poverty, Belu is forever striving to be more sustainable. They’ve been busy reducing the carbon intensity of their products and biz, alongside moving towards a circular economy with a reduce, reuse and recycle mindset.

Thanks to this, the packaging for Belu drinks is getting greener and greener. Right now, their clear glass is made from 35% recycled material, its green glass 70% recycled material and everything is produced in the UK, not shipped from overseas.

Belu is also a big name in the hospitality industry. They empower businesses to make positive change on tap with environmentally friendly filtering systems that reduce the need for single-use products.

Meet The Founder

Filmmaker and eco-entrepreneur Reed Paget founded an eco-friendly drinks brand back in 2002, which would officially become environmental social enterprise Belu in 2007.

From 2010, it’s been a women-led biz, with Karen Lynch steering the ship as CEO for a decade. Natalie Campbell took over in 2020, bringing Charlotte Harrington on board as Co-CEO.
