Neve’s Bees was founded by Julie Macken, a chemist turned entrepreneur whose journey began in the corporate world — with senior roles at Unilever, GSK and McDonald’s. Her perspective shifted while running a marketing workshop in São Paulo, where she realised her skills could be used for something more meaningful than selling plastic-wrapped convenience food.
Combining her scientific background with a lifelong love of the natural world, Julie founded Neve’s Bees to create skincare that supports healthy skin and a thriving ecosystem. Now based in rural Oxfordshire — surrounded by her family, beehives, wildflower meadow and rescue pets — she continues to lead the brand with integrity, optimism and a hands-on commitment to giving 10% of profits back to nature.
