Meet LoveWell, the nature skincare company fighting exploitation one product at a time. Behind their dreamy range is an empowering programme for women who’ve experienced significant trauma through trafficking and exploitation.
All too often, survivors in their position face barriers to employment. LoveWell helps break down these barriers with training, skills development and meaningful work through the making of their products.
Trainees get fully immersed in the LoveWell biz, learning about the production line, product development, customer service, marketing and order fulfilment. Work-ready skills are also covered, from assertiveness to interview practice. By the end of the six-month programme, trainees are more confident, resilient and ready for alternative employment.
Just as creating LoveWell products is a source of greater wellbeing and healing for their makers, they’re designed to be restorative for you too. Turn a bath into a more luxurious home spa experience with Rosa Detoxifying Bath Salts, Sia Restorative Bath Oil, nourishing massage candles (once lit, they melt down to an oil) and calming aromatherapy candles.
On top of being nourishing, every ingredient in LoveWell’s range is natural and environmentally friendly too.
Claire and Rhian first started LoveWell to counter the lack of paid opportunities for women who want to exit sex work. They’ve built the brand around the belief that every women, no matter her skills, background or self-belief, has the ability to aim high and reach her potential.
