Chika's

Wholesome snacks made from African ingredients that empower girls across the continent.

Snack for change with Chika’s, makers of delicious and healthy rice crisps, plantain crisps and corn and nut treats.

They seal joy into every pack, in the form of amazing flavours and positive impact through a partnership with World Vision. This charity is improving access to education for girls in Africa and one penny from every Chika’s snack goes towards its Empowering Girls Education Programme.

By 2025, they hope to have educated 25,000 girls and to have built new schools across Africa. And you can help them hit the target just by choosing Chika’s at snacktime. An easy and delicious win for creating some positive change, right?

Chika’s snacks are made with feel-good recipes suitable for lots of dietary requirements too. They’re 100% natural, vegan and free from gluten, artificial additives and flavourings, all while showing off African ingredients and flavours.

Experience some iyanu (that’s the Nigerian word for amazing, FYI) goodness when you reach for their plantain crisps in hampers like The Rest & Recuperate Gift Box and The Craft Beer Collection

Meet The Founder

Chika Russell grew up around Nigerian food and cooking and it’s remained a life-long love. Realising African food was underrepresented in the UK snack market, she decided to channel that passion into a career in foodie entrepreneurship, leaving behind her finance job to launch Chika’s.

As well as representing Africa’s vibrancy and energy, Chika wanted the brand to help girls at risk of missing out on school – just like many she’d known in childhood – to access education and become confident women.

Chika has made sure her team and the brand’s leadership reflects the change they want to see in the wider world. She runs a diverse, inclusive biz that’s led by women. And in 2022, Chika’s is launching in Africa, with the aim of creating 300 jobs and a 70% female workforce.
