Case study

Event merch that became a brand moment for Legl

Legl wanted giveaways that drew people to their stand and had a story behind them. So they swapped high volumes of standard freebies for a smaller range of premium merch: bamboo notebooks, branded artisan chocolate and power banks built to last.

The merch acted as a real conversation starter. People were drawn to the stand and curious to hear the story behind the products. We noticed higher footfall, more meaningful conversations and a greater number of follow-ups post-event compared to previous years.

Every product graded, and we show our working

Most suppliers put an eco label on part of their range without saying what earns it. We check every product against five criteria, and the number it meets sets its grade. This marketplace lists the products that meet at least two.

Questions? We've got you covered

The range covers three main types: sweets and chocolate for events and goodie bags, hampers and gift sets that combine food, drink and reusable items, and lunch boxes and containers (bento boxes, food storage and lunch sets). Lunchware is the largest part of the range by product count.

Yes. Reusable items such as lunch boxes and containers are usually decorated with laser engraving or pad print, while sweets, chocolate and labels are branded by printing on the packaging using digital and flexographic methods. The available decoration method is shown on each product.

For reusable items it is the materials and durability: stainless steel, bamboo, glass and recycled plastics including rPET, designed to be used for years rather than thrown away. For confectionery we are specific, the sustainability is in the recyclable packaging and reusable tins, not a claim about the sweets themselves.

Yes. Social Supermarket is itself a certified B Corp, and within food and drink we carry reusable lunchware from certified B Corp brands including Mepal and Brabantia, so you can give to the same standard we are certified to.

A small number of lines are vegan or organic where this is noted on the product. We do not carry a broad dietary range, so check the individual product page or ask us about a specific requirement and we will confirm ingredient and allergen details when you request a quote.

Both vary by product and decoration method. The minimum order quantity and lead time are shown on each product and confirmed when you request a quote, as branded confectionery and engraved lunchware can have different production timescales.

Branded food and drink is one of the most useful and welcome categories of corporate gift: a tin of sweets handed round at an event, a hamper that lands well with a client or a new starter, or a logo lunch box that gets used every workday. Our range spans sweets and chocolate, ready-made hampers and gift sets, and everyday lunchware and food storage, so you can match the gift to the occasion and the budget.

Browse by type

  • Sweets and chocolate: confectionery for events and goodie bags, including mints, jellies and mixed sweets in recyclable pouches, boxes and refillable tins, where the sustainability is in the packaging not a claim about the food.
  • Hampers and gift sets: curated boxes and sets that pair food and drink with reusable items such as a lunch box, bottle or tin for a finished gift.
  • Lunch boxes and containers: bento boxes, food storage and lunch sets in stainless steel, bamboo and recycled materials.

Materials and decoration

The reusable side of the range leans on durable, lower-impact materials: stainless steel, bamboo, glass and recycled plastics including rPET. Reusable products are typically decorated with laser engraving or pad print for a logo that lasts as long as the item, while confectionery and labels use digital and flexographic print on the packaging. Minimum order quantities and lead times vary by product and decoration method, so both are shown on each product and confirmed when you request a quote.

Why buy from Social Supermarket

Every product is curated by Social Supermarket, a certified B Corp, chosen for recycled and renewable materials with supplier credentials we have checked. Some reusable lunchware lines come from certified B Corp brands, including Mepal and Brabantia, so you can give to the same standard we are held to. For confectionery, we are specific about what is sustainable: it is the recyclable packaging and the reusable tins and jars, not a claim about the sweets.
