A popcorn company with a mission. A mission to create handmade, natural popcorn snacks, with no obscure chemicals, additives and preservatives common to so many snacks on the market today.
Remember sweets like Rhubarb and Custard, Strawberries and Cream, Cherry Pips, Lemon and Lime Sherbet, even Cola Cubes? Well, Retrocorn literally take those sweets (that are all naturally flavoured and coloured) and coats their popped corn with them. It is truly a great British product, which is referenced in the design of the packaging.
Retrocorn also still operates the same way it did from the beginning – selecting only the best quality corn, having a dedicated ‘hand-popping team’ and using natural and great quality retro sweets to create delicious snacks for everyone to enjoy.
Meet The Founder
In 2013 Greg was living with his Nan; Beryl in Essex. They started making and selling popcorn in small batches from Nan’s kitchen, turning their favourite retro sweets into popcorn flavours. In November they ventured to London at One New Change near St Paul’s Cathedral to launch their new Popcorn products.
None of this would have been possible without the support of Greg’s nan and during 2015 she retained an important role in Retrocorn as chief-taster and Retrocorn’s brand ambassador up until her sad passing at the end of the 2015. As the original Chief Taster, Greg’s Nan would be proud of just how poppin’ the Retrocorn brand has become.
