Erno Butter Knife

£16.00

Add a touch of nature to your kitchen with Goldfinger's Erno Butter Knife, presenting simple, utilitarian elegance. Handcrafted in small batches in their West London workshop.

The butter knife is available in two varieties: ash, sourced locally from trees that have been cut down to make way for urban development projects, and off-cuts, breathing new life into beautiful wood leftover from bespoke furniture projects, which will vary depending on the material available.

Dimensions: 20cm x 4.5cm

All profits will support Goldfinger’s social impact.

Care instructions:
You can enjoy your butter knife for years to come. To take the best care of it, rinse it with warm water, wipe clean and dry immediately. Never put it in the dishwasher or leave soaking in water. Every couple of months, feed with a food-safe oil to protect the wood. Apply oil with a cloth and remove excess with a clean cloth and leave to dry for 48 hours. Do not over apply. Follow these guidelines and your butter knife will have a long and happy life.

Goldfinger is an award-winning social enterprise showing high-end design and joinery can be good for people and the planet.

At Goldfinger HQ, they think up stunning designs for furniture and homewares using upcycled, reclaimed materials. A ‘from tree to table’ manifesto dedicated to thoughtful and sustainable craftsmanship guides their work, as does a commitment to building a circular economy.

Further to this, Goldfinger’s team train makers and artisans from less advantaged backgrounds at the Teaching Academy. Here they pass on practical woodworking and business skills, unlocking the potential of trainees in the process. For those involved, it’s often the start of a meaningful career.

Beautiful craftsmanship meets sustainability and community here. See the quality and inspired design of their furniture and homewares for yourselves with a browse of the range – from luxury eco-soy candles to wooden chopping boards and coasters.
