Paguro Upcycle creates contemporary accessories and homewares from materials the world leaves behind. Inner tubes, bike chains, seat belts, army tents and reclaimed wood are reimagined into modern pieces that prove waste still has worth.

While reducing landfill burden, they also put artisan communities at the heart of the business. Working with small-scale makers and social enterprises across Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the UK, Paguro builds long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships that champion fair pay, traditional skills and zero-waste production. Every collection is PETA-approved vegan, cruelty-free and meticulously handmade – from waterproof inner-tube bags to hand-cut reclaimed-wood jewellery and planet-friendly homewares designed to last.

The brand also directs part of its profits to social causes including Plastic Oceans, Transforming Lives for Good and CARE International UK.

Recognised for its circular design innovation, Paguro has been shortlisted as Disruptor of the Year at the Midlands Great British Entrepreneur Awards and nominated for Circular Economy Excellence at the 2025 Midlands Sustainability Excellence Awards.

With a reverence for people and planet, it was only natural that the brand take is named after the hermit crab – Paguro in Latin – nature’s own upcycler. Just as the crab finds new purpose in a discarded shell, Paguro gives industrial waste a second life through thoughtful design and craftsmanship.
