Materials and what makes them recycled

Around a quarter of the hats here are made from recycled materials rather than virgin plastic. A number of the beanies and bucket hats are knitted from rPET, which is polyester spun from recycled drinks bottles, and a few of these carry GRS or RCS certification that traces the recycled content through the supply chain. The rest of the range uses acrylic and cotton-blend knits. Each product page lists the exact composition so you can choose the material that fits the brief.

Decoration: embroidered and printed hats

The two main ways to brand a hat are embroidery and applied transfers. Embroidered hats are the most popular choice here, and embroidery, including 3D and woven-patch styles, gives a durable, premium logo on knitted beanies and structured hats. Screen transfer, digital transfer and DTF are used where a flat printed logo or fuller colour is needed. The right method depends on the fabric and your artwork, and it is set per product.
